Over two thousand years ago, an angel appeared to a pretty young woman and told her that she would give birth to the Son of God. She was engaged to marry Joseph, and the angel also appeared to him. |

| When Mary was about to deliver the baby, she and Joseph were summoned to Bethlehem by the Romans to pay their taxes. |  |
| Joseph tried to get a room at the inn, but there was no room, and so he and Mary went to the stable, and there she had her baby. |  |
| A new star appeared in the sky above Bethlehem and shone down on the stable. |  |
| Angels appeared to shepherds in the nearby fields and told them that the Son of God had been born, and they hurried to Bethlehem to see the wondrous child. |  |
| Three wise men came to King Herod and asked him where the new baby, the New King was. King Herod was jealous, and so the wise men left and saw the new star in the sky. They followed it to Bethlehem and found the babe with Mary and Joseph. |  |
| They presented the baby and his parents with gold, frankincense, and myrrh. |  |
| This is how Jesus came to earth, and He lived his life like all of us, except that He healed everyone who was sick or lame, or blind or deaf, and He taught everyone how to love one another and how to serve God. |  |
| His life taught the whole world what we need to know and do to return and live with Him and Heavenly Father some day. |  |
