Wise men brought Him myrrh; wise men gave him gold
And carried to Him incense. This is what we're told.
Angels gave Him song, God gave Him a star
That lit the way for wise men who journeyed from afar.
What could have more value than these goodly gifts of Christ?
Whatever in the heavens could be more highly priced?
As He gave so much to us, what could we give Him?
Broken hearts and contrite spirits and a love that cannot dim.
Jesus taught us truth; showed us how to love
And healed the blind and crippled With powers from above.
Jesus healed our hearts, showing us the way
And then He gave His last breath as night defeated day.
What could have more value than these goodly gifts of Christ?
Whatever in the heavens could be more highly priced?
As He gave so much to us, what could we give Him?
